我的唯二驕傲

 今天全台豪大雨！

老婆一直滴咕著：

她會不會把帽子戴上？

雨衣知不知道要晾乾？

衣服濕了有沒有馬上換新的？

Kevin爸平常是大哥大，兩天沒見到兒子，

竟然要司機帶他去萬里Camp Taiwan的營地，

還說：騙肖ㄟ！誰說不能去？

岑畇乾媽來電：怎麼樣？你們家葳葳打了

幾通電話回家？ 

答案是：

謝絕訪客！

不能帶手機，包括所有的電子用品：

I Phone、I Pad、I Pod、遊戲機....

也不會讓小朋友打電話回家，

如果真的"有事"，很嚴重緊急的事，

營區會主動打電話聯繫家長！

所以，最好不要"有事"~

很多還沒參加過Camp的家長，光想到這裡，

就開始腦袋空白、兩眼無神、四肢無力....

心想：真的嗎？真的那麼嚴格嗎？

連商量餘地都沒嗎？

到時候該怎麼辦？

這時候一向以心狠手辣、雪上加霜著稱的我，

再次發表感言：

鬆開手吧！敞開心胸吧！

即便你是如此的不願意、無奈、被迫....

也許Camp Taiwan學習最多的不是孩子，

而是我們這群

永遠長不大、自以為萬能的

老孩子～

TES Y5 Day 2

Dear Parents,

We sang our rain song last night and so far, so good. We had a few drops today, but otherwise the weather was fine. In fact, the cool white mist that surrounded camp added to the out-of-this-world atmosphere at camp. The kids woke up at 7 a.m. to start their day (though some were up quite a bit earlier). After breakfast, we continued our rotation of archery, giant swing, river tracing, climbing and games. In games, campers practiced teamwork and communication as they played a series of cooperative games. In archery, campers learned the ins and outs of bows and arrows and engaged in friendly competition.

After lunch and a short rest in their tents, it was time for the first wide game of the camp, Survival. Students were divided into different classes of animals – herbivores, omnivores, carnivores, man. Their goal was to find what they needed to survive and avoid predators until the end of the game. For the first time in recent memory — no one survived! That is a tribute to the hunting skills of their very competitive teachers, I’m sure.

Kids had a chance to prepare for their skits during rest time and after dinner adn journals, it was time for Skit Night. Each tent group got up to perform their own sketch, and we all enjoyed the final results.

Tomorrow we have another big day, so it is off to bed for now.
